The Montessori Centenary Supplement charts the global progress of the Montessori movement, from 1907 when Dr Maria Montessori opened the first Casa dei Bambini (Children's House) in Rome, to 2007, the 100th anniversary of Montessori Education.

The Montessori Centenary Supplement also includes a Time Line which charts, in four strands, significant events in Education, Peace and Innovation as well as the growth of Montessori Education over the past 100 years.
