Author: Wendy Barbara Fidler
This booklet was originally published in 5 issues of the Montessori International magazine. Reformatted into one volume, it is now available for purchase from Wildwood Montessori. Please see below for ordering details.
The Montessori Centenary Supplement charts the global progress of the Montessori movement, from 1907 when Dr Maria Montessori opened the first Casa dei Bambini (Children's House) in Rome, to 2007, the 100th anniversary of Montessori Education.
Centenary topics, projects and timeline
There are many exciting centenary topics and projects, a look at 'People Who have Changed the World for the Better', messages from Montessorians around the world. The Montessori Centenary Supplement also includes a Time Line which charts, in four strands, significant events in Education, Peace and Innovation as well as the growth of Montessori Education over the past 100 years.
A really useful centenary resource, the Montessori Centenary Supplement is of interest to Montessori teachers, students and parents alike, and there are lots of ideas for children.
