As
mentioned in our last news letter, we are working vigorously
with our sponsored charity: Montessori
Education for Autism (MEfA).
We
wish to inform you about some innovative 'parent and baby/pre-school child'
classes for children with Autism which are currently running at
Mycenae House in Blackheath, South East London, UK.
The
classes take place on Wednesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 5pm.
Baby
Montessori - 0- 9 months : 1.30 - 2.30pm
Toddler
Montessori - 9 months - 18 months 2.45 - 3.45pm
Pre-school
Montessori - 18 months - 6 years - 4.00 - 5.00 pm
Children
with other disabilities and non-autistic children are also welcome!!
In line
with good Montessori practice, the groups have a mixture of ages and
abilities; this is because all children fare best with the stimulus
of regular social interaction, conversation and play opportunties with their
multi-age peers.
